this morning, heather wagoner, a sophomore here at olivet passed away. heather and three others were in a car accident friday night and after struggling for several days, heather was taken off of life support this morning. pink was heather's favorite color and all week we have been "thinking pink and praying for heather"
life is so crazy. it is so hard to understand why certain things are thrown us. it's hard to understand how we can spend so much time crying out to God for something, and then it feels like He never heard us in the first place. the song "blessed be the name" has hit home a lot this week. the bridge goes like this...
You give and take away... You give and take away
My heart will choose to say, Lord Blessed be Your name!
no matter what comes our way we can say, you know, whatever God, and walk away, or we can say, you know what, God, you're sovereign and blessed be Your name.
O my soul, why be so gloomy and discouraged? Trust in God! I shall again praise Him for His wondrous help; He will make me smile again, for He is my God!
-Psalm 43:5-
Teach us to number our days and recognize how few they are; help us to spend them as we should.
-Psalm 90:32-
Your words are what sustain me, they are food to my hungry soul. They bring joy to my sorrowing heart and delight me. How proud I am to bear Your name, O Lord!
-Jeremiah 15:16-
so think pink, give it to him, bless his name, and lift up the wagoners

Thank you soooo much for posting. I WANT to know what goes on in the life of Kara. Also, did you know I'm starting a new radio program? I would love to have you on as a guest!
