"Weakness in the Bible is not something to overcome. Rather, it is the place where God dwells. Our greatest strengths are anointed weaknesses."
"But He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."
-2 Corinthians 12:9-10
Wow.
Weakness is the place where God dwells.
Weakness is the place where I need to be in order to be stronger.
Being weak hurts. I hate being in this place of weakness.
But in this place where I must utterly become reliant on the true source of strength,
only here in this place will I truly grow and become who I need to be in Christ.
Weakness is the place where God dwells.
Bring on the weakness, then.
Amen.

I should give You praise...
So, I'm back from Egypt!
I think I kept a pretty good journal while I was gone... I invite you to check it out:
www.karajoygoestoegypt.blogspot.com
and feel free to ask me questions about anything and everything relating to Egypt.
So how am I now? Well... I think I'm pretty much over this whole jet-lag stuff. Adapting to Amrika has been challenging. Currently I'm really struggling but trying to practice praising despite my desire to not. My friend Stephen who I met in Egypt wrote this song that I have played and sung in my head over and over again lately...
He clothes the lilies of the field
He knows when even the tiniest sparrow falls
He gives a blanket of white for winter
The most colorful coat for fall
I should give You praise
But honestly most days, I don't
I can get preocupied with my own progress
And forfeit all sense of trust
I can lose my self in fashion
Though I know my body will turn to dust
I should give You praise
But honestly most days, I don't
Well He clothes the lilies of the field
He knows when even the tiniest sparrow falls
And even I just have to marvel
Wondering the complexity of it all
Lord, I believe but help my unbelief
Lord, I believe but help my unbelief
Lord, I believe but help my unbelief
Lord, I believe but help my unbelief
