well... this was the first week of camp for before tomorrow and my first camp ever... and let me just say that it ROCKED HARDCORE!!! i had SOOO much fun!! i hope you like the pictures... if you're a camper or counselor and have more pictures you want to put up here just shoot me an email (karajoyburkey@yahoo.com) and i'll get them up here. and if you ARE a camper or counselor... thanks SOOO much for an amazing week of fun and laughs and Jesus. live God outloud in your homes and churches and schools... don't let the fire die that was fueled by camp this week. i love you guys!!! enjoy the pictures!! i'll see you again... either in this lifetime, or in heaven... leading worship...
so monday night late i (with the boys help) cooked a huge box FULL of spaghetti noodles for this baby pool. it was amazing... dude, mom... the stove was THE biggest ever!! it was so amazing!! the pots were huge and it had TEN BURNERS!!! and it was gas too... i LOVED it!!! and the strainers and sinks... wow, i coulda cooked myself in that kitchen!!! that right there... prolly one of my favorite parts of the week. :) and what made it even better was that the next day we got to play in it... check them out standing in a pool of OODLES OF NOODLES!!!!! :)
this was my family group for the week... minus dad and me of course... back row left to right to front left to right we've got... joan, hillary (who i keep calling hayley and i'm SOOO sorry hillary. i love you girl!!), rebecca, alex, seth, roberth, sam, emily, star and ashley. they were THE most awesome family EVER!!! i love you guys!!!

my all time favorite part of every day was small group time with the seven girls outside at the picnic table (minus being blinded by the sun). i loved meeting together with them and telling stories about boys and teeth and fat kings and what God is doing in our lives. girls... know that i love you and will continue praying for you. God wants to do great things in your life... just let him, and keep him outside of that box, on display, for all the world to see, 24-7. i love you!!! :)
the boys looking beautiful!! wow, the games we played this week were surely something else. but i LOVED them all!! :) (well except for executioner ball... anyone like that? it confused the daylights outta me!)
big chap... our speaker for the week (jim chapman with big chap ministries) was INCREDIBLE!!! we had such a good time together. here he is holding dino core, our mascot. :)

thursday was probably THE greatest day ever... the morning service was really good, and then in the afternoon we played messy games and got egged, fruitified, and shaving cremed from head to foot. i LOVE josh's mohawk. i had one too but it kept falling over so kaila gave me the "i'm bald" look. ha ha!! great fun!! :)
yeah... you better not mess with that if you know what's good for you. he kinda looks like a funny dinosaur. maybe he and dino core aren't just friends... they're really long lost twin brothers... josh is just the white sheep of the family! ;) ha ha.
and then thursday was amazing because it was talent night. this one was definitley my favorite skit... peanut butter in the armpits picks up girls... i still can not believe that i ate peanut butter out of jordan's armpit!! ha ha. so awesome.
josh's group was really cute.
ah tim, or should i say brack... you made me laugh sooo hard i was crying!!! "hi'm forgettable... that's what hi ham... hi'm so forgetable... somethin somethin somethin... HAM" ha ha!
amanda's group was funny... didn't quite catch what happened... but check out the old lady with the saggy front!! sooo funny!!! :) ha!
joe won the miss camp camby contest. and he shaved his legs for it and everything!! i just love joe!! ;)

our skit was the doctor one... it was really funny there i'm passing my sneezes to alex

oh... no pics of the movie skit, but it was a doozie... and i accidently hit jake in the face with the waterbottle at the end and about knocked him out!! then today i was waving at tim not to leave us in the bus and i punched jake in the nose!! he's taking a beating from me!! i need to chill it out! :)
our final skit was a makeup skit where the boys "kutified" themselves at "kara's kutiful korner"
