you know, i really like to try and sound profound on this here qahal bloggy thingy... but i just don't feel very profound today. so i'm basically not saying anything... but wanted to post something, give you a bit of an update and let you know i'm still alive.
this week's been rather crazy... went to oklahoma last weekend, (scroll down for pics), and slept little, took tests and worked. blek. i'm currently in the application process for two potential ministry opprotunities for this summer: one option is traveling with a worship group from Olivet to various camps and retreats for teenagers, the other is working as a CSM (Center For Student Missions) Host in Chicago all summer as a missionary host/guide person. either option sounds amazing to me... i just hope i don't get accepted for both cuz i don't wanna choose. but i'm praying and God will guide me. i am looking right now for a place to do my eight hour social work practicum this semester... i think iwanna do it over spring break in lima with some social workers from LCCN like jack hammil or penny jollet or lori storer... cuz i think that'd be a great way to see what lima has to offer if i ever wanna live at home. (don't count on that though. i like my mom but i like the world.) :) i am also looking forward to studying abroad next year and am currently praying about either Latin America or the Middle East. today i found this great book at Barnes and Noble... learn arabic ten short minutes each day. i think i'm gonna buy it for myself for my birthday next month!! i'm really intrigued by the middle east and as a social worker, and just as kara, i wanna know all about it. so that's kewl. i'm going home next weekend... yay!! and i'm teaching sunday school in the morning and need to go to bed so i can get up on time. that's about it.
some other time i'll find something profound to say. goodnight!
oh here's a thought....
